The fine print
Terms of Service
Short and in plain language. Last updated 28 October 2026.
Who we are, and when these terms apply
Klooflyn builds and hosts websites for South African businesses. These terms apply once you sign up for a plan: when you accept our quote or pay your first invoice. Questions? Email hello@klooflyn.com.
Plans and prices
- Prices are in South African rand, as shown on our plans and in your quote.
- Monthly fees are invoiced at the start of each month. Once-off setup fees are invoiced before we start building.
- You pay by EFT or debit order. Invoices are due within 7 days.
- If we ever change our prices, we tell you by email at least 30 days before your next invoice. You can cancel before then without paying the new price.
Your web address
- Every plan includes a free address like yourbusiness.klooflyn.com while you're with us.
- Your own .co.za domain is optional: R150 a year, paid yearly and separately from your plan. We register it in your name, so it stays yours if you leave.
Month to month, cancel any time
- There is no fixed contract. Cancel by emailing us with one calendar month's notice.
- Setup fees pay for work already done, so they aren't refunded once we've started building.
- When you leave, your domain goes with you. Your website stays online until the end of your notice month.
Owning your website
- Everything you give us (text, photos, logos, prices) stays yours. You confirm you have the right to use it.
- While you're on a plan, we look after the website for you. After 12 months with us it's yours for free, or you can buy it outright at any time for its buyout value (shown with your plan). Either way, we hand over all the files so you can host it anywhere.
Changes and support
- Anything you can change in your admin panel's editor is free, as often as you like.
- Other changes are done for you at R250 an hour, unless your plan includes monthly edits. We always tell you the cost before we start.
- We reply within the time your plan promises: 3 business days, or 2 days with priority support.
Late payment
If an invoice is more than 30 days late, we email you first. If it's still unpaid 7 days after that, we may pause your website until it's paid. Nothing is deleted while it's paused, and it comes back as soon as you've paid.
Hosting, backups and your customers' data
- We work hard to keep your website online, fast and backed up, but we can't promise it will never go down, for example when our hosting or network providers have problems.
- If your website is down because of a mistake on our side, we credit your next invoice for the days it was affected. You don't need to ask: we do it when we fix the problem.
- If your website collects information about your customers (contact forms, bookings), you decide what it collects and we look after it for you, as required by POPIA: we keep it secure, use it only to run your website, and never sell or share it. See our privacy policy.
What we won't host
Anything illegal, misleading, or that infringes someone else's rights. If a website breaks this rule, we may take it offline and will tell you why.
Limits on our liability
If something goes wrong because of us, we put it right, usually with a credit on your next invoice. Beyond that, our total responsibility is limited to what you paid us in the 3 months before it happened, and we aren't responsible for indirect losses such as lost sales. These limits don't apply if we were grossly negligent or acted dishonestly. Nothing in these terms takes away your rights under the Consumer Protection Act or any other South African law.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we email you at least 30 days before the change applies. These terms are governed by the law of South Africa.
